Frequently Asked Questions
-
Your child will need to bring their own lunch, extra snacks, water and appropriate footwear and clothing for each season as we do much of our learning outside. We ask that each child also bring their own mosquito repellent and sunscreen.
-
We’re happy to accommodate your child’s needs as best as we can. Please inform us about any allergies, medical conditions, or accommodations needed when you register. You have the option to add notes on your child’s Sawyer profile so that we may refer to them at any time.
We do hold the right to discontinue enrollment for children who may not be getting what they need from Crafternoon. Our instructors are not certified therapists or behavioral specialists, medical care workers or babysitters. If a child needs to leave Crafternoon, we will communicate that with parents in private and do our best to offer other suggestions for child care.
-
In the rare event that we need to cancel a class (ex. due to weather), we’ll notify you as soon as possible and reschedule or issue a credit for the missed class. We do not offer refunds for bad weather cancelations or issues with our building that is out of our control (ex. pipe breaks, power outages).
-
It is up to the parents to disclose any personal information about their child’s exploration of identity or their journey in transitioning. Because much of our staff is also LGBTQIA+, we understand that identity is fluid and we can change our minds about what feels right for us throughout the process. We want to make sure everyone feels welcome in our studio, regardless of how you identify. We are here to support through each step of the way.

Crafternoon is currently in the process of creating a Spanish summer camp program this year. If you’d like to be in communication with our Spanish speaking instructor during any of our workshops or camps, please reach out to us via email.

As we continue to renovate our new studio, we will be adding ramps for those who require them. You may check out our fundraiser page to see how we are raising money to create a ADA compliant learning space.
